The Horary Module (Prashna)

Horary Astrology (Prashna) is the art of answering specific questions based on the moment the query is asked. JyotishGrid provides the most advanced suite for two distinct horary systems: Standard KP/Parasari and Tamil Jammakol.

1. The KP Seed System (Standard Horary)

Traditional charts rely on birth time, but Horary relies on a "Seed" provided by the client's intuition.

  • Seed Ranges:

    • 1 - 249: Standard KP levels.

    • 1 - 2193: High-precision Sub-Sub level (VKP).

  • Dynamic Lagna: When you select a seed number, the system instantly fixes the Ascendant (Lagna) degrees. This replaces the birth time as the starting point for all calculations.

  • Significators: The module automatically identifies planets that act as "Significators" for the houses of your query (e.g., 2, 7, 11 for Marriage).

2. Ruling Planets (RP) β€” The Golden Confirmers

Located in the analysis section, the Ruling Planets are the planets governing the now:

  • The List: Lagna lord, Lagna star lord, Moon lord, Moon star lord, and Day lord.

  • Predictive Trick: If a planet appears as both a Significator in the horary chart AND as a Ruling Planet at the moment of analysis, it is a strong confirmation that the event will happen.

3. Jammakol (The Tamil Masterclass)

Jammakol is a rapid Tamil system that uses a fixed cycle of 8-period (Yaama) planets.

  • Udayam: The actual rising sign at the time of the query.

  • Arudham: The sign representing the "Mental State" or presence of the querent.

  • Kavippu (The Obstacle): This is the shadow point. If Kavippu covers the planet representing the query (e.g., Jupiter for self or Venus for marriage), the result is likely to be delayed or blocked.

  • Interpretation: The system automatically calculates these points and marks them clearly on the Jammakol chart.

4. Analysis Results & Significance

Under the Analysis Tabs, the system provides:

  • House Potentials: See the strength and Star/Sub-lords of the houses relevant to your query.

  • Planetary Significators: A clear list of which planets are "supporting" your query and which are "neutralizing" it.

5. Saved Horaries

Since horary is a moment-in-time calculation, keeping records is vital. Use the Saved Horaries grid to:

  • Track the progress of previously answered questions.

  • Revisit "Ruling Planets" of past sessions to see how accurately they confirmed events.

TIP

Spotting a False Query: If the Ruling Planets (RPs) at the time of analysis have no relationship with the Ascendant (Lagna) of the horary chart, the question may not be genuine or the querent may be hiding information.
